Roger Peterman
Land Acquisition Manager
After seven years with Habitat for Humanity of Kent County, Roger Peterman is "constantly amazed by the generosity of our community -- even when considering the state of Michigan's economy. People here make it happen. They give of their time, resources, and talents, and it re-enforces in my mind what a great community we live in. I am so lucky to work with and meet such great and generous people every day."
In his current capacity with Habitat, Roger is responsible for acquiring properties on which to build future Habitat homes. He also works with subcontractors and encourages them to donate their time and talents. He jokingly admits he "wears lots of hats" on the job at Habitat ... and "sometimes that's so I can sneak up on them to see if they are available to volunteer."
Executive Director Pam Doty-Nation didn't hesitate when selecting Habitat's Stellar Staff member for the web profile. "People like Roger are what make Habitat for Humanity of Kent County such an awesome organization. It is a privilege to have him on our team."
Roger's constant smile and his seemly endless energy are a blessing to all who know him or are touched by his involvement with Habitat for Humanity of Kent County.
Roger and his wife live in Kentwood and have two grown daughters, a son in-law and 2 year old grandson.
