Fleet and Facilities Manager
We are currently hiring a full-time Fleet and Facilities Manager. This position is responsible for coordinating with the Director of Operations to oversee the daily operations and management of the organization's fleet of vehicles and facilities. This role involves ensuring the safe and efficient operation of both company vehicles and building facilities. The manager will handle fleet maintenance, vehicle acquisition, scheduling, and logistics, while also overseeing facility management, including maintenance, repairs, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Position Responsibilities:

Community Outreach Intern, Part-Time, Paid
We are currently seeking a Community Outreach Intern. This position serves as an “ambassador” to the neighborhoods we serve. The intern plays a critical role in strengthening relationships through planning, coordinating and implementing projects in partnership with neighborhood residents and organizations. These relationships will help you identify where Habitat Kent ’s housing and community development solutions can intersect with identified needs and aspirations. This is a paid, part-time (up to 20 hours per week) temporary position starting on 4/28/25 and ending on 8/15/2025.
Position Responsibilities:
- Build relationships and partnerships with community residents, local organizations, and community stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with the Neighborhood Engagement Team to align residents’ hopes and dreams with organization strategic goals.
- Work with the Neighborhood Revitalization department to gather community feedback on new developments.
- Communicate with the public for the purpose of supporting the mission of strengthening neighborhoods through partnerships relative to Habitat Kent's mission.
- Promote Habitat Kent's mission, vision, and values.

Construction Site Supervisor, Full-Time
We are currently seeking a Construction Site Supervisor to provide oversight and training to volunteers and trade contractors while performing work at our job sites. The Site Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the build meets building codes, controlling the project site, maintaining safety and order, and ensuring a positive experience for volunteers, trade contractors and sponsors. The Site Supervisor coordinates with the Project Manager to ensure that all materials and trade contractors are on site as needed to meet the projected schedule and budget.

- Oversee construction work performed at Habitat Kent work sites. Review project plans and details before construction begins, and regularly communicate and coordinate with Project Managers to meet the schedule.
- Monitor job sites and update Smartsheets and Microsoft To-Do on a continuous and daily basis.
- Set up the site at the start of the workday and clean/shut down at the end of the workday. Shutdown includes being responsible for the security of the homes, materials, and equipment daily. Any theft or damage to tools, trailers, vehicles, the home, or materials must be reported to the Project Manager.
- Conduct daily shift orientation, including safety awareness, Habitat Kent information, and convey relevant work details for the day's project.
- Direct, train, and encourage volunteers in various construction tasks. Incorporate every individual on the site in a positive and productive manner, ensuring a positive volunteer experience.
- Develop a weekly log of work tasks and a daily punch list to prepare for upcoming work.
- Determine materials needed on site one week in advance. Communicate needs to the Project Manager and Inventory and Logistics Manager as needed.
- Communicate with trade contractors regarding project progress, site needs, and scheduling.
- Develop relationships and goodwill with neighbors and community members on site.
- Support Habitat Kent in developing new Site Supervisors (volunteers, contractors, students, or AmeriCorps) by providing positive leadership and Habitat construction methods.
- Perform warranty work as required.
Position Requirements:
- At least five years of experience in site construction, with a minimum of three years in construction management or an equivalent role.
- Current Michigan Residential Builder License, or willingness to obtain one within the first year.
- Demonstrated body of work and full comprehension of all aspects of residential construction. LEED green building knowledge preferred.
- Experience with ProCore, Smartsheets, or Microsoft To-Do preferred.
- Ability to work well with diverse groups of people and an ability to motivate and engage.
- Ability to teach construction techniques.

Material Recovery Specialist, Full-time
We are currently looking to fill a full-time position for a Material Recovery Specialist. This role involves overseeing recovery site operations, training volunteers and other participants at job sites, and ensuring both safety and organization. The Material Recovery Specialist will also be responsible for managing tools, ensuring a positive experience for volunteers and donors, and collaborating across departments to ensure that the necessary products are available for ReStore sales.
Position Responsibilities:
- Performs recovery tasks at donor work sites and oversees the material recovery activities of volunteers and other groups.
- Answers to and responds to all donor incoming calls, emails and other requests.
- Schedules donation pickups and removal of product.
- Monitors job sites and provides written job progress reports as requested.
- Prepares the site at the beginning of each workday and ensures that the donor property is safeguarded from any damage during the recovery process.
- Assists with daily shift orientation, which includes safety awareness, Habitat Kent information, and conveys relevant work information for the day’s project.
- Works with, trains and engages volunteers in various recovery tasks.
- Secures donor property, tools and equipment. Notifies manager of any theft or vandalism of tools, trailers or vehicles.
- Builds relationships and goodwill with neighbors on site and community members.
- Ensures material recovery vehicle is properly stocked and maintained.
Position Qualifications:
- Construction experience or construction training preferred
- Active Michigan Residential Builder License preferred

- Must be an insurable licensed driver in the state of Michigan; CDL preferred

ReStore Sales Associate, Part-time
We are currently seeking a service-oriented ReStore Sales Associate. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sales, excellent communication skills, and a customer-centric attitude. The Sales Associate will be responsible for assisting customers, driving sales and maintaining a positive shopping experience for all customers. Other responsibilities include accepting donations, providing donation receipts, product cleaning and pricing. This is a part-time position working up to 28 hours/week.
