Driver
We are currently seeking a full-time Driver to join our team in Grand Rapids, MI starting at the end of May. This position is responsible for donation pick-ups and deliveries using a company vehicle, as well as loading and unloading the contents. Additionally, the role includes assisting in the maintenance of ReStore equipment.

Position Responsibilities:
- Performs donation pick-ups, deliveries, and store transfers in a safe and timely manner while ensuring compliance with the Restore Standard Operating Procedures Manual.
- Ensures that donated product is secured properly to prevent accidents and damage.
- Screens and accepts products for resale to ensure they are sellable and consistent with ReStore product acceptance standards; ensures all paperwork associated with donation pick-ups is completed properly and accurately; issues receipts for donated merchandise to customers; and transfers product to the ReStore.
- Completes daily equipment inspections and reports any repairs needed.
- Completes necessary department paperwork, as needed.
- Assists team with the warehouse, maintenance, pick-up schedules, and/or sales, as needed.
- Promotes the mission, vision, and core values of Habitat for Humanity of Kent County.
- Receives and maintains professional development training necessary to fulfill the minimum standards of the essential responsibilities.
- Attends specific workshops, conferences, and trainings on diversity, inclusion, intercultural competency, increasing racial equity, or alleviating racism on an annual basis.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications:
- Valid chauffeur’s license with medical DOT card
- Good driving record
- Ability to navigate using traditional maps and GPS
- Ability to lead and direct volunteers
- Basic math skills
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Ability to operate a forklift and vehicles
- Ability to move 50 pounds minimum
- Ability to stand or walk the majority of the workday.
