Jesenia Joins the Habitat Team as Community Engagement Coordinator
Jesenia Camacho joins Habitat Kent in our new role as Community Engagement Coordinator! She comes to us after working at Clark Retirement Community for ten years alongside elderly folks with Alzheimer’s and Dementia. Growing up in the Roosevelt Park neighborhood (one of our focus communities) and her certification in bilingual work make her a perfect fit for the role.

5 questions with Jesenia:
Q: What drew you to Habitat Kent?
Jesenia: Since I am also in Habitat’s homeownership program, I have learned so much of what the organization is about. I felt that it was exactly what I wanted to be a part of.
Q: What are you looking forward to in your new role at Habitat?
Jesenia: I am excited to meet new people and be a part of helping them in the process of becoming a homeowner, as well as uniting families in community engagement.
Q: What do you like to do in your spare time?
Jesenia: I love to sing, I love the outdoors and being with my family. I have a beautiful blended family and time spent together makes me most happy!
Q: What’s a fun fact about you?
Jesenia: I am told that I am a good impersonator!
Q: What else would you like people to know about you?
Jesenia: I grew up on Grandville Ave and being able to become a homeowner in the same neighborhood excites me!
