Bundle Up and Build: Volunteer with Us this Season!

Volunteers are the heartbeat of Habitat Kent. Without their help on construction sites, at the ReStore, and beyond, we wouldn’t be able to bring our mission of building homes, communities, and hope to life.

We have volunteer opportunities available all year round, even on our construction sites. A typical build day with us starts with a brief safety orientation. From there, the day can be filled with a variety of tasks including:

  • Deconstruction
  • Framing
  • Painting
  • Trim carpentry
  • Exterior trim
  • Siding
  • Final details
  • Landscaping

Since some of these tasks like siding and framing happen on the exterior of the home, we encourage volunteers to wear winter gear they don’t mind getting dirty. We’ll provide the hard hats, safety glasses, tools, and coffee.

Chilly temperatures don’t dull the energy on our build sites either. Our Carpenter’s Club members, Construction Team, and other volunteers keep the sites lively and fun and are there to help every step of the way. No previous skills or experience are needed to join us. We’ll teach you everything you need to know!

You can help local families build a stronger future by volunteering with us this winter. Sign up today
