Habitat Kent provides homebuyers with the coaching, education, and support to be successful in your homebuying journey. Your options may include buying a home built or rehabbed by Habitat Kent.
Do I Qualify?

#1. Do you meet the income requirements?
- Your income must be at or below 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI) for your household size. Check the chart below:
#2. Do you have the ability to pay for a home?
- You are able to qualify for financing with a participating mortgage lender for up to the purchase price of the home at minimum. (*Click here for a list of mortgage lenders who are participating within program requirements.)
- You are able to acquire a down payment either through saving or participating in an available down payment assistance program.
#3. Will you partner with Habitat?
- You will achieve and maintain mortgage-ready status
- You will sign a release of your information so that your lender can verify your income in terms of AMI based on your family size, and share your pre-approval status with our team
- You will complete of all required Homebuyer Education Classes
- You are willing to adhere to our Homeownership Covenant

3. Receive an assessment from Habitat Kent Staff
Once you complete your program assessment, you will receive an approval letter that you will use in the pre-qualification phase. You may use any lender of your choice. Below are our partnering banks.
